You are wonderfully new – a new creation in Christ.
There is a new normal for your life. The things you are now able to do because you are in Christ and Christ is in you must be discovered and lived into.
You have a new normal for forgiving others.
You have a new normal for serving others.
You have a new normal for kindness.
You have a new normal for generosity.
You have a new normal for sharing your faith in Christ.
You have a new normal for courage in challenging times.
A new normal is an upgraded, better, stronger, healthier way of living.
You just have to discover your new normal. You discover your new normal by walking into it.” T.S. Eliot said, “Only those who risk going too far can possibly find out how far they can go.”
Borrowing, adapting, and mashing together Eliot’s quote and Genesis 12:1 gives us this:
“Only those who by faith follow Jesus and go to the land of new normal will find out just how good that new normal is.”
Any new normal you live into will happen as you build new practices into your life. New practices consistently applied turn into new habits. It is the new habits that cement into place a new normal.
So, what new practice have you been using in 2018 that is making your life better? What is a new thing you are doing that is rejuvenating you? Your life will not get better (more Flourishing) by doing what you have always done. You need new practices.
What is Jesus putting on your heart for a best new practice that will make a difference in your life?
Having the ability to empower and resource leaders to bear much fruit that lasts. Being a part of a team of friends and missional servants committed to changing the world.
