Message Interpretation

The Sunday 11:00 am worship service is interpreted in ASL (American Sign Language). Oral Interpretation is also available. Location: Enter the auditorium through the center main doors. Walk to the right, along the back wall. You will see the interpreting section located to the right of the Production Desk. Other events at Living Word can be interpreted but require a 1-week notice for service. We also provide amplification headsets for hard-of-hearing individuals. Sets are available at the Welcome Center in the lobby.

Christmas Eve Services

ASL will be offered during our December 23rd (11:00 am) & December 24th (3:00 pm) Christmas Eve Services.

Training

Various levels of American Sign Language classes are offered throughout the year in an effort to bridge the communication gap between the deaf, hard-of-hearing, and the hearing who attend Living Word.

There are no classes scheduled at this time.

NOTE:  The Silent Coffee Bar is no longer hosted by Living Word; however, all are welcome to attend monthly ASL Socials held at the Food Court on the upper level of the York Galleria.  These socials take place at 5 pm on the third Saturday of every month.  Food & drinks are available for purchase at the Food Court.
