Melissa received her Master of Science degree in Counseling Education from McDaniel College in Westminster, MD. In both her career and in her volunteer work, Missy has provided supportive counseling in the public-school setting and in the church. Since 2010, Missy has focused on addressing addictions, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, mood disorders, sexual addiction, and relational conflict while working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Missy received her board certification as a Certified Christian Counselor through BCPPC, in addition to her SYMBIS certification to conduct Premarital and Marital Assessments. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counseling. Missy’s personal faith journey has shaped her counseling as she utilizes a God-centered approach, relying heavily on the Word of God to encourage the development of spiritual maturity.
Missy is married to Dan, has two teenage children, and has attended Living Word with her family since 2000.
