Spiritual Direction (Leadership & Spiritual Maturity)

	Spiritual direction is a unique relationship in which one person helps another to discern the movement of God in his or her life through attentive listening and spiritually formative questions. Unlike counseling (which focuses on finding a solution to a problem) or discipleship (which focuses on the foundations of the faith), spiritual direction focuses on where a believer is encountering God in the midst of daily life. 	This two-year program is designed to train evangelicals in the art of spiritual direction. Year One focuses on spiritual deepening by exploring and practicing the spiritual disciplines. Year Two offers instruction on the “how to” of spiritual direction. FORMAT: This course meets weekly (with a break over the summer) and is experiential in nature.
