    I have many extremely memorable experiences from my children and with my wife especially but the most memorable has to be in the midst of the darkest time of my life at the crossroad of life and death, I chose God and he mercifully, absolutely broke me and in the course of a few moments lifted the veil and showed me exactly who I was but then lovingly showed me exactly who He is.

    Evacuating Saigon at the end of the Vietnam War as a U.S. Air Force pilot. The Vietnamese people had maybe one suitcase per family and that was all they had in the world to take with them. It left a profound impression on me about the impact of war.

    My brothers and I rode unicycles in regional parades and performed at the Seattle World’s Fair in 1962.
