  • Communications Director

    Position/Title: Communications Director

    Reports To: Lead Pastor (primary), Worship Pastor (secondary)

    Has Reporting To: Graphic Team & Ministry Partner teams

    Collaborates Closely With: Worship Arts Technical Team; IT Manager & Ministry Directors,

    Employment Status: Full-Time

    FLSA Status: Exempt

    Hourly Requirements: 40+

    Position Summary: The Communications Director works closely with the Lead Pastor and Executive Team to provide the relational leadership, strategic management, and technical communication competence for the sustained execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that advances the mission of Living Word.

    Relational leadership competency: as this position works with the staff of Living Word, the direct reports to the Communications Director, core staff colleagues responsible for forms of communication, ministry partners, the congregation, vendors, and the general public.

    Strategic management competency: including project management, systems development (continuous improvement), change management and problem solving.

    Competency in the field of communication: including written, oral and graphic communication, marketing, public relations, skills in the various media platforms and software programs of the industry (including WordPress, Mail Chimp, Adobe Creative Suite, Basecamp, etc.), and facility with website and social media management. There are additional platforms that are more specialized and used by Living Word.

    The ideal candidate will be (or quickly become) familiar with the brand, culture, and theological-spiritual ethos of Living Word, and able to substantially advance that brand-culture-ethos.

    Mission Critical Responsibilities:

    1. Project Management of Church-Wide Communications Systems.
    2. Supervision of the Graphic Design Team and collaboration with Worship Arts Tech Team, and IT department for all Media Services.
    3. Resourcing Living Word Staff with Media Resources for their ministry departments.

  • able::life (Special Needs) Director

    Position/Title: able::life (Special Needs) Director
    Reports To: Next Gen Pastor
    Employment Status: Part-time
    Hourly Requirements: 5-8 hours

    Position Summary
    Works and supervises in able::life to provide a Sunday environment where special needs children are lovingly cared for.

    Education:
    Experience working with Special Needs children and students, as well as experience leading adults to work effectively within the ministry. Formal education in Special Education a plus.

  • Childcare Providers

    Position/Title: Childcare Providers
    Reports To: Childcare Manager
    Employment Status: Part-time, Seasonal
    Hourly Requirements: Varies – Mornings or Evenings, normally 2.5 hour sessions

    Position Summary
    Provides childcare while parents are involved in church programs. Must be 18 years of age or older.

    Education: High school diploma
