Life is very full and busy, and we know that none of us can pour out of an empty soul. This morning mini retreat is designed as a respite to care for your soul and strengthen your spiritual well-being in your busy fast-paced life.

Join us for an uplifting morning of best practices to simplify everyday life. Learn how to identify life-draining behaviors and choices that separate you from God, then discover ways to engage in the rich relational life we were meant to live.

What the Retreat Includes:

  • LIVE WORSHIP led by Diana Trout and an all-girl worship team.
  • TEACHING FROM FIVE WOMEN: Kim Keene, Connie Milchling, Michelle Perez, Kendall Potter, and Rebecca Rice.
  • BOOKLET OF RESOURCES to help you grow and consider even after the event.
  • PERSONAL PROCESSING TIME IN CONVERSATION Practice the important task of being quiet and still before God.
  • FUN WITH FRIENDS All women 18+ are welcome, even if they do not attend Living Word.
  • LIGHT CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST (Must register by April 4 at noon.) Walk-in attendees can enjoy our coffee and tea service.

Kim is mom to Gareth (Penn State Main and missed) and Aidan (dancer extraordinaire) and thinks her husband Ned is a pretty good guy. She loves to read, meet new people, and try new foods. She is reluctantly learning to tolerate the gym. Being a Spiritual Director is one of the high points of her life. Kim loves meeting God through the listening and mundane parts of everyday life.

Connie is Director of Women’s Ministry | Prayer at Living Word and has a passion for teaching and practically living out God’s Word. Blessed with the gift of marriage to Greg and being a step-mom to a son and daughter (26 and 23); she especially enjoys God as Creator, in this midst of his creation, and everything he has created.

Michelle serves as host for Merge AM, a community of women at Living Word. She loves to study God’s Word, be creative, and hoard chocolate in her cupboards. She enjoys life with her husband Chris, her daughter Karen (5-3/4), and her son Ethan (just turned 4).

Kendall is a wife, mom, grant writer, and part of the Living Word women’s teaching team. She enjoys reading, building LEGOs with her husband and two sons, and tending her hive of honeybees. She’s happiest when helping things grow—be it plants or people.

Rebecca has worked in the fields of psychology /sociology for over 35 years, currently leads the Counseling Center at Living Word, while practicing as a counselor. Becky and her husband, Brian, have been part of Living Word since the early 1980s and recently celebrated their son’s wedding with great joy.
