Bridges
The hardest thing to learn in life is
which bridge to cross and which to burn.
Bertrand Russell
which bridge to cross and which to burn.
Bertrand Russell
There is a way that appears to be right to a person, but in the end it leads to death. Proverbs 14:12
In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus speaks of two ways--a narrow way that leads to life and a broad (and attractive) way that leads to death.
There are some roads we have to take and some we have to avoid.
Using the metaphor of a BRIDGE, you are always choosing to burn some bridges (closing the door on things that are harmful) or crossing over to something new.
Wisdom is knowing which bridge to burn and which bridge to cross.
How about you? Are you facing any bridges at this time of life?
