GIVING INITIATIVES

WHY GIVE?

Generosity Devotional

By Brian Newman and Brian Rice
Tithing and giving generously are acts of worship that express our gratitude, faith, and love for God.

Begin with Prayer

  •  Invite God to be part of your financial decisions.
  •  Ask God to give you a plan for stewardship of His resources.
  • Open your heart and surrender your fears to God.

Step Forward in Obedience

  • Make God’s kingdom your first priority when you make financial decisions.
  • Be intentional and commit to giving a percentage of your income—whether a tithe (10%) or another amount.
  • Give fearlessly so you can experience joy in the act of giving.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."

2 Corinthians 9:7-8
