Wisdom About Wisdom

Wisdom about wisdom! That's what this final blog post of our Summer of Wisdom is about.

The final message provided a biblical spirituality of wisdom.

The Wisdom of God:
Fear the Lord, love, revere, trust, worship, serve, follow. Job is the great illustration of this.

The Wisdom of Christ:
Jesus is the full revelation of God's character, plan, purposes, will and way. God the Father tells the disciples, "This is my Son. LISTEN TO HIM."  Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. It is always right to listen to Jesus.

The Wisdom of the Cross.
The cross is the demonstration of God's love, wisdom,, and power. The only wise God showed us the way of wisdom is sacrificial love and service for the sake of others. Wisdom is living the way of love, grace, forgiveness, mercy and sacrifice.  It is the most beautiful wisdom you can build your life on.

The Wisdom of the Gospel.
The Gospel is the good news of God's Kingdom, already here and still arriving. It is the most counter-cultural wisdom you will find. God's Kingdom is like no other Kingdom and King Jesus is like no other King. The Kingdom of God means everything has changed and is changing. If you want a summary of Kingdom living (wisdom) read the Sermon on the Mount.

A Selection of Quotes About Wisdom

One Christian philosopher has said, all truth is God's truth. Whenever truth is found... it is found. It is discovered. It is NOT invented. Truth can be found in many places. When truth is found in some of these unexpected places and unexpected voices... think about that truth, examine it... and if it makes sense... it does because All Truth is God's Truth.

While the Bible is the peak pinnacle of truth, God has scattered gold nuggets of truth everywhere. Here are 20 quotes that are Wisdom about Wisdom.  Enjoy.
