Christmas Sunday

Christmas Sunday at Living Word
8:00 a.m. (only) in the Life Center

This year is unusual because Christmas is on a Sunday. Other years, even if Christmas is on Saturday or Monday, we feel we can still do a normal Sunday service, even if we have to make some significant accommodations.

This year, with Christmas on Sunday, we had to make different plans.

We are going to have ONE service onsite at 8:00 am. It will be a basic service led by Pastor Aaron in the Life Center. We will NOT have a worship team. There is no programming for children or teens. There will be no nursery.

The building will be open at 7:45 am and the service begins at 8:00 am. The only doors that will be open are Door #7 by the Receptionist Desk (and Common Grounds Coffee Bar).

The longest week of the year for our staff is the week of Christmas Eve. It is not unusual for many of our staff to work 50-60+ hours that week, including being onsite many evenings. After such an intense week away from their families, we wanted our staff and ministry partners to be able to celebrate Christmas with their families.

Christmas Eve is when we celebrate the birth of Jesus. We have our usual multiple options for Christmas Eve. We encourage you to worship our Savior and celebrate his birth with us on Christmas Eve.

Knowing that the majority of our congregation has their own family plans on Christmas Day, we will have a Christmas Day Service available on our website and app. It is “on demand,” which means you (and your family) can watch it at your convenience. It will be a 30-35 minute service designed to give you an uplifting day with your family.

Again, be sure to check out the website for all the Christmas Eve services, including our family service.

Blessings and Grace to All,

Pastor Brian Rice
