Cassie Stroman
able::life Director
At Living Word, we believe the gospel is for everyone! Our able::life ministry allows children and young adults (up to age 30) to learn and grow in a way that is suited to their individual needs.
All first-time participants must have a parent or guardian preregister them by Friday at noon to participate on Sunday. This helps the ministry partner team and Director prepare the classroom and the Bible lesson to provide the family and participant with the best experience possible.

Ministries
Our specialized curriculum is able to be adapted for many different skills and needs, and students can encounter the Word of God using multi-sensory experiences that engage all types of learners. Symbol supported monthly verses provide an opportunity for accessible Scripture memorization, and learners will journey chronologically through the "BIG STORY" of the Bible throughout the year!
Lessons are able to be presented individually or in small groups, with breaks provided as needed for learners to have time for regulation and processing. Our classroom provides a variety of activities to meet the sensory needs of students, including swings, a trampoline, and soft spaces to relax. In able::life, it's our joy to not only teach our attendees about the Bible, but learn about and celebrate what makes them unique! able::life volunteers provide a safe and welcoming environment where attendees can feel comfortable being the amazing individuals God created them to be.
If students prefer to participate in the kid::life or student::life classes during Sunday morning services, able::life can also provide a "buddy" to support them in those environments, whether that is for the entirety of the service or just a portion. Many of our attendees enjoy going to large group for worship and then returning to the able::life classroom for the remainder of the service.
