Why:
Local Mission means Loving Like Jesus in our own communities and across York County. We want those around us – especially the vulnerable and those on the margins, those with legitimate needs – to see, hear, and feel the Gospel. Jesus’ love motivates us to serve others. There’s always room for more volunteers.
How:
Whether you have an hour or a heart for ongoing service, there are many ways to serve those around us. Please click the link below to look at and register for ways that you can bless, love, and help others.
Church Family Cookout: Help bless the thousands who call Living Word home, and any neighbors who decide to join us that day, with a church family cookout. We always have visitors, and this is a great way for them to experience the goodness and love of Jesus.
- Family Friendly: First Fruits Farm – We need a number of families to help our partners at first fruits as we plant, care for, and harvest food for thousands in need in our region.
- House of Hope – Prepare a meal for at-risk teen girls in a residential program.
- Our Daily Bread – Either prepare food OR help serve lunch onsite.
- Family Friendly: York Fresh Food Farms – Friends and families can serve together in raising, tending, and harvesting fresh-grown foods that bless many of the food insecure in York City and York County.
