Laura earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Pennsylvania State University in 2004. Earlier in her career, she worked as an Emergency Medical Technician and a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Since 1990, Laura has worked in a hospital emergency setting, most recently as the Team Lead for WellSpan York Hospital Emergency Department. 
 
Laura has a heart for serving others and currently volunteers at the York County Food Bank, at Living Word’s Car Care Events, and is on the board for the Hudsen Memorial Ride, which supports initiatives for childhood cancer.  Laura is eager to embark on a new professional path and cultivate her spiritual development. She most often connects with God through the outdoors, as she enjoys His creation. 
 
Laura is married to Ken, her best friend.  Together they have five children, three dogs, and enjoy riding their Harleys together.  Laura has been attending Living Word since 2012.
