First Fruits Farm is a non-profit Christian ministry in Freeland, MD where volunteers help harvest vegetables for the food insecure in MD and PA. All produce harvested is given to food banks/pantries, churches, schools, etc. for distribution – the York County Food Bank receives produce from First Fruits Farm. 18 South strives to bring hope to teens through authentic relationships built on the gospel of Jesus Christ.
 
The Youth Center is located at 17 N. Main St., Red Lion, PA.

Serving Opportunity – Prepare a meal for 30 teens and deliver to 18 South between 5:30-6:15 pm. Don’t want to cook? Purchase pizza, subs, etc. A great group or family opportunity.

[NOTE: alternate arrangements can be made for delivery if the 5:30-6:15 time doesn’t work for you.]

Home Helps
Volunteers may build ramps, paint, install flooring, do yard work, perform indoor/outdoor maintenance and more for low-income older adults, people with disabilities, and single parent homeowners. Projects are based on the number of people who sign up and upon the skills of those who sign up.

ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED to make the necessary arrangements for the project-secure materials and prepare job site. So if a few days before you find you can serve and the registration form isn’t available, please contact Glenda.

Opportunity for ages 14+, under age 14 welcome to serve with a parent.

Volunteer Cafe 
Scheduled one Saturday per month, the cafe is open from 9:00 am-2:00 pm (you decide your ending time). The Volunteer Cafe features a “menu” of projects (sm, med, lg) at the Servants ministry center. The length of time you serve is based on the size of the project you choose. Servants is located at 100 Redco Ave, Suite C-O, Red Lion, PA.
The York County Food Bank fights food insecurity by collecting food from a variety of sources and redistributing this food to partner agencies – other non-profits, shelters, churches, senior centers, schools, and community centers. The York County Food Bank also holds weekly public distributions and distributes Pennsylvania Senior Food Boxes.

NEW SERVING OPPORTUNITY! Are you available on Thursday mornings from 8:00-10:00 am to serve breakfast at Our Daily Bread? We are in need of one person who would be willing to do this on a weekly basis. If interested, contact Jim Koch at 717.848.1674.
