John earned his MA in Biblical Leadership and Management from Trinity Bible College, Newberg, IN. He recently received his board certification as a Master Christian Life Coach through the International Board of Christian Care. John has held leadership positions in the fields of business, ministry, and the church since 1975, including an Agency Executive position in a Fortune 100 Company. He transitioned into full-time Christian ministry in 2013. In addition to serving as a mentor, life coach, and spiritual director in the realms of business and church, John has also taught extensively in business settings, in international ministry settings, and at Living Word Community Church. John was ordained as a pastor in 2017.

In the practice of life coaching, John utilizes the scriptures, spiritual exercises, and leadership resources to explore a deeper engagement with Christ, in order to navigate well through the many seasons of life.

He is married to Joanne and has attended Living Word since 2003. They have three adult children who are married and seven grandchildren.
